The Harmony App will guide you through the setup process on your smartphone. Whatever you like to do, one touch can take you from one Activity to the next, powering off and on the right devices and adapting the remote control to send the right commands to the devices you're currently using. You can program your Activities to be as simple and general as you want or as complicated and precise as you want. Switch between watching cable TV, watching your Roku, or playing a game with one touch. A Harmony Smart Control remote is provided as backup in case your smartphone is not available. Use the Harmony app on your smartphone to control your entertainment devices (TV, cable or satellite box, DVR, game console, etc.) and home automation devices (IR controllable light bulbs, vacuum cleaners, motorized blinds, etc.). Is anyone else having this issue and is there anything to be done about it?Īdditionally, not having more pronounced ridges or raised nibs to give better support in allowing the remote to truly sit flat would have a been a smart move but Logitech missed that one I guess. I used that backlight in manual mode and never had a problem. This is not good and something I never encountered with the 880. I use the "empty" command screen key and can get it to go off in the 15 seconds I have it set for. My real worry is that twice already the backlight stayed on after issuing some command. I have to practically shake it at times to wake it up! I've programmed an "empty" touch screen button to use in these instances. The loss of the "glow" button annoys me to no end as the Tilt sensor in this thing gives a VERY inconsistent performance. I'm from the school that would rather use the base only when the remote got really low in power.Ģ. I guess this guy is power hog and I will have to use the charging cradle more often. With the 880 I could get a week to 10 days before hitting the "single bar," which was my cue to power it up again. The power level indicator goes into the "orange," which I presume is the area when one should re-charge the remote, after only 4 or 5 days. The power consumption is a lot higher than with the 880. With one of them I guess there is really no solution and is a fact of life for this remote.ġ. I'm a new Harmony One user having upgraded from the 880 that I've had for some years.
